Dalio Education has partnered with Community Science to understand the stories of those young people. The project interviewed over 70 people and revealed their results Monday at the state capitol.
Youth service experts from agencies around the state outlined their concerns about the impact of poverty, homelessness, and housing insecurity on the state’s 119,000 at-risk or disconnected youth Tuesday during a discussion at Mansfield Town Hall.
The final report, to be released in a few weeks, will include the voices of many of the 74 young people interviewed for the project. It will reveal their challenges, the obstacles they face and the ways they have overcome them.
With more than 119,000 Connecticut youth at risk or disconnected, lawmakers are urgently trying to find ways to keep students on the path to employment and education.
